Product Rentals Pro is free to install, but has a limit of 10 rentals created in the system before you have to move to one of our paid plans. The free tier exists as a way for stores to try out the app, with all features, without any payment or commitment required.
If you've tried it and want to go ahead with using it for your store, we suggest moving to one of our paid plans, which differ based on expected usage (number of rentals per month).
Product Rentals Pro is not currently suitable for businesses where:
Products need to be rented for parts of a day (e.g. a number of hours)
Product Rentals Pro is usually perfect for businesses that rent products in this way:
Products can be rented for a set number of days, with the minimum being 1 day
You deliver rentals in one or more ways (e.g. post, pick-up) and want your system to be flexible to each of these delivery methods
Whilst not limited to these, we highly recommend trying Product Rentals Pro if your business is in:
Dress hire, clothing hire and/or fashion accessory hire (e.g. bags, jewellery, millinery)
Baby equipment rental (e.g. prams & strollers)
Bike & scooter rental
Other physical product rental businesses, especially if you offer the option to rent & return the items by post
You can install Product Rentals Pro for free and create up to 10 rentals before hitting the free trial limit. You can also delete rentals if you want to keep your count below this limit.
All our plans can be found here:

Yes! This can be done easily without the need for creating two separate Products in Shopify (one for rental and one for purchase).
The following page explains how it can be done: Setting up a Product for Rental OR Sale
We don't currently have a bulk import feature within the app where you can import data yourself. Other popular rental apps don't provide an export with enough detail for us to easily import the data, such as product & variant IDs.
The easiest way is to manually enter the data into the system. You would typically only enter existing rentals that are for future dates, to ensure the calendar is blocked out appropriately.
We've had customers transfer 400+ rentals into PRP in the space of 3-4 hours.
If you're still unsure, and don't feel like installing the trial to work it out yourself, just and let us know some key details about your business, or !
If you have a need for more than 10 rentals whilst your store is still in development, just and we can extend your limit for free whilst your store is in Development mode. The same applies for Shopify Plus sandbox stores.
A rental can be entered into PRP via the admin in around 20 seconds. Once created, it can be with a button at the top of screen. Linking to the order will mean that rental status updates occur , and it will provide an easy way to navigate between order and associated rental.
