Your rentals count is based on the number of rental records within PRP (not the number of rental products). A rental is any record that lives within PRP that has a unique rental number. It is generally the same as the number of orders that include rental items. However, please note:
A Shopify order can generate multiple rentals if the customer has selected different dates for different items.
A rental can also be entered manually in the PRP admin, without a link to a Shopify order.
A rental in PRP can include many rental products. The number of products in each rental isn't relevant to the rentals count with regard to plan limits.
The monthly count is calculated based on:
a calendar month (it isn't tied to your subscription date)
the month a rental is created in (not the rental start/end dates)
For the purposes of plan requirement, the count is based on the largest month in the previous 5 months. This is to to prevent upgrading/downgrading occurring due to seasonality, and because the system will still store the rentals from previous months for historical and reporting purposes.
