As described in Setting up your Products in Shopify, to use different rental durations, you need to create an Option for this on your Products.
The Options & Variants Settings screen allows you to do two things:
Options - Set which of your Options are used to determine rental duration, and which affect Units.
Exclusions - Specify any exclusions, if you don't want a rental calendar to appear for any particular variants (i.e. it is a variant customers can purchase - not a rental).
The Options table will show a list of all the Options that exist across all your rental Products (i.e. all Products that you've imported into Product Rentals Pro).
In many cases these Options will be consistent across a large number of your Products. For example, you may have "Size" and "Rental Duration" on all of your Products, though you may have Products with other Options as well. Every Option across every imported Product is listed in the Options table on this screen.
All you need to do is set which of the Options Affect Units, and which Affect Duration.
Any Options you've set up called Rental Duration, Hire Period, Number of Days, Rental Period, Duration, etc, will be Options that should be set to Affects Duration.
Virtually all other Options should be set as Affects Units. In other words, the Size, Colour, Style, Pattern of a Product affect how many of each you have.
It will be common for there to be only 1 Option that is set to Affects Duration. This is because typically you will name this Option the same across all rental Products you have.
If you've named it differently on different Products, it is fine to have multiple Options set to Affects Duration, however, there should never be two Options on the same Product that affect duration. This wouldn't make sense as a rental can only be for a single rental duration or period.
This area allows you to define any specific Variants which shouldn't be considered a rental. This allows you to have Products that include both rental and sale Variants, rather than needing to set up two separate Products in Shopify (one for rental and one for sale).

Any Variants matching the Option & Value combination you've set up in the Exclusions area will automatically hide the calendar on the Rental Widget when it is selected by the customer on your product page.
So if your Product has an Option called "Rental Duration", with values of "4 days", "8 days", but also "Buy Now", you would hide the calendar when the "Buy Now" option is selection by creating an Exclusion like so:
When the customer selects a Variant that has Options matching this, the calendar will be hidden and the button below will update from "Rent Now" (or your custom text), to Add To Cart.
